I’ve made a bunch of small projects in the past week or so that I want to share. I also want to participate in Kayte’s color week and show off more of my good mail. I am not sure how to do it all, so for now, projects and mail on the blog with a link to color week photos on flickr. Sound ok?
Projects::a trio of t-shirts for three little girls with summer birthdays.
butterfly
frog (I used the Purl frog as my pattern)
fish
Color week::Today’s color is Red/Pink. I prowled around the house looking for something to catch my eye. Normally, I can find something pink right away – the benefits of having two girls. This was the first thing I saw. Perfect.
Gaaah! SO cute! What method did you use to put them on the shirts?
oh! oh! oh! these are wonderful!!!

I love them all, but the pink frog is the best!
I love the butterfly t-shirt! So cute:)
Those smiling fish are too cute. Clever idea to use the purl frog as a pattern. I’m hoping to make one (or more) of those frogs this week.
The shirts are all so cute, but my favorite part of the post is that fabulous shot of little shoes! Such a nice composition and beautiful light.
I love the fishys too.
And the shoe pictures is just perfect!

Come on, for those of us who are craft-challenged, please explain how you did it! : )

This makes me think I could resurrect a bunch of shirts with spots on them by covering those spots up with some cute apppliques like this! Thanks for the inspiration 🙂

AHhhh! Love those, and especially that FROG!!! Too darn cute erin!
Can I come over to learn how to applique?
I always love the way fabric looks appliqued on plain tee shirts, but have never tried it. Another thing on the ‘to-do’ list! I can’t decide which one is my fav!

Butterflies, fish and frogs – love them all! SO lovely.
Cute! I actually made a Purl frog, but don’t have the right beads for eyes or she’d be up on my blog.

I love the butterfly, too. I wanted to say hi – I’ve been reading your site and think it is so inspiring! I’ve been making a lot of baby applique stuff, too… so fun!
I love your blog. Found you through a link to your “Sunny Day Dress” tutorial on my cousins site…and have every intention of adding a link back to you from my own blog–I’m sure I’ll be checking in frequently.
Thank you so much for you wonderful tutorials, incredible photographs, and sweet stories about your girls. I only hope I can be as fun/productive/creative a mom as you as my little one grows.
I have to ask more t-shirt advice from you erin. how do you keep the knit from puckering when you sew the applique on?
