This week just didn’t go as I had planned.
We had huge wind storms (and maybe some tornadoes) on Tuesday night. A huge tree fell down in our neighbors’ back yard and our power went out at about 8:00 p.m. We spent Wednesday night in a hotel. The electricity finally came back on Thursday afternoon around 4:30. We still don’t have phone service. I am blogging from the coffee shop with free wi fi.
As soon as I have my dsl back up and running, I’ll be back blogging and flickr-ing.
Until then, enjoy these daffodils. I bought them on Monday and amazingly, they still look great. The 45 degree temperature in the house did not bother them one bit. Looking on the bright side, I just get to enjoy them that much longer.
Stay well friends.
Hope you get everything up and running soon. Those daffodils are beautiful – my favourite flower, but then I am Welsh, so maybe a bit predictable π
oh my goodness! That’s not a fun way to come back from girls’ weekend. I hope you’re back to normal soon.
Oh, man. I hope you didn’t lose a bunch of food. That’s always what makes me maddest about outages- wasted food.
Stay warm and safe!
Gosh Erin, that sounds like an adventure – much admiration that you are sounding so upbeat about something that must have been quite stressful. Glad you are all okay. Hope you get your internet connection back soon! x
Well, that’s no fun. I guess your refrigerator is empty. I hope your ankle is doing better. Stefan says he uses 3:1 water to rubbing alcohol to make and ice pack in a ziploc bag.
I think cut flowers like the cool. Thanks for the bit of bright yellow this morning! Our weather is gray and rainy today.
Hope everything gets back to normal for you asap!
sorry about that, erin! it’s been stormy here, too, but here it just snows like crazy. hope things are back to normal for you soon!
oh no! glad you stayed warm, and that you’re back home. hope the laundry is coming along!
Oh no, I wondered what happened to you! I’m glad to hear that things are getting back to normal.
The elements were against you on this one. Sounds thoroughly disruptive. Happy daffodils do make things better. Take care.
I’m sorry about your very “unfun” experience. I hope the weather cooperates soon, and you get to go home and make some more beautiful crafts. The flowers are a great reminder that there still is beauty in the midst of all the yukky. Stay safe!
Ugh. what a total pain! Glad to hear everyone is safe and cozy now (cozy is a big word around our house). see ya next week back to normal!
Glad you are safe. What an adventure. Wishing you a restful, drama-free weekend!

Hi Erin,
Glad you are all ok. I was near your neck of the woods today and was astounded by the damage and the number of trees that were downed by the storm.
Keep safe,
Carol
