I'm back. Completely exhausted, but happy to be home.
The London leg of our trip was all business, but I managed a stop at Liberty for a little stash enhancement. I went there in search of the remnant table, which on our last trip 2 1/2 years ago was a mecca of good deals. No remnant table in October. Only in June and December/January, just so you know. Still, I found a sweet bundle of tana lawn in blues, reds and greens for a quilt for the sunroom and then purchased yardage of the red solid lawn for a backing. The other stack is the quilting cottons that are also available in the U.S. I hadn't been able to see them in person so I was happy to pick my favorites.
New fabrics give me the itch to get sewing, creating, making, but my time is so limited right now. I've been struggling with how to fit the making into my schedule. There just don't seem to be enough hours in the day. I know I can figure it out, but I think I am going to have to get creative. Maybe an hour a day? Or setting aside one morning or afternoon? Ideas, anyone?
That said, I do have some finished things to share. Back with the good and the not so good just as soon as I finish the last load of laundry and go through 10 days worth of mail.
I take the afternoons as my creative time. I feel refreshed while supper is simmering on the stove…my treadle is just pedaling away š Welcome back!

those make me drool!
when you figure out how to fit in the making, let me know š
Am I more jealous of your fabric or your time in Munich? Lived there once and I shouldn’t complain as I was there this summer. Hope you had a great time!
when you said Oktoberfest, I had no idea the travel required a passport. how amazing! it looks like you came home with the best kind of souvenirs.
I’m finding it hard to fit in too. I use to knit at hockey practice…but none of that this year. It’s making me cranky…not knitting in such a long time.
Beautiful fabric!
Lately, I’ve not made anything. I find that if I can’t fit in some making time, I start to snap at people and become irrational; and yet, I still don’t manage to find time to work it in around homework, and dinner, and laundry. I think I’m going to have to start getting up earlier.
Best souvenirs, ever.
Will the kids curl up under the quilt? It’s KCWC, which only asks an hour a day, which maybe will give justification enough to get started….
Sincerely,
The Queen of Enablement
What a sight for sore eyes – those Libertys! These days it seems best to have a few different projects going: quilting in the den, knitting or hand piecing in the car, project on the design wall. Some days are busier than others and I don’t quite know what available time I’ll have. I do know I’m a much happier person when I get some creative time. If not, I get in a major funk! Welcome home and take care, Byrd
glad you managed to squeeze in a little ‘Liberty’ time too!
i need help finding more making time also.
beautiful fabrics…welcome home.
