I'm not going to let this month get the best of me. No sir, not one bit. I've got flowers and hot cocoa with whipped cream and a quilt top.
And it's only just begun.

I just finished a quilt top too, I started mine early in 2009, now to find a backing and get a-quilting!
good strategies!!
That is a good start!
I have quilt blocks and lemons and new plants for my front flower beds.
The quilt looks wonderful! Congratulations on the progress!
Hello Erin: Wow the quilt is beautiful! The name of that pattern is called the wedding ring. I made a table runner with that pattern for Christmas and I think it´s worth all the effort, in my project the “rings” were joined like an 8. I can see that your children do math homework, my youngest also attends that kind of centers in Mexico. Actually right now I´m dealing with him because he didn´t do his homework in time and now he has to deal with a lot of work.
By the way I´m going to try to do some bread this week. I just received a book about bread recipes and I´m anxious to do some of it.
bravo…go get’em
Great mindset to be in! 🙂
The quilt top looks beautiful… I’ve been meaning to make that pattern but it always gets pushed back hehe
I am SO EXCITED to see the finished Single Girl quilts. I have loved this pattern since the first time I saw it, but have just never wanted to put that much time into making one of these. These are looking so great!! (And so does the hot chocolate with whipped cream!)
All look so yummy!!
what a good attitude! i’ve got chocolate, wool, and tea; i’m ready too! 🙂
I bet that quilt is going to be awesome!
hi patyz – this pattern is called single girl and was designed by denyse schmidt. it's a play on the traditional, interlocking double wedding ring pattern!
and i totally understand your math homework struggle. we have those from time to time, too!
oh, lemons! yum!
yay! i hope to be sandwiching by the end of the week.
I was just contemplating making some marshmallows so we could have prime february cocoa! Anything to beat the february blues!
Great start – I need some flowers.
sewing and knitting and cocoa ,oh my! you are one of my new favorite places to visit…thanks for the mid-winter inspiration….
beth
B’bye January. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
Way to go getting the top together by month’s end!! It’s a beauty from the block and a half I can see!
we were on the same wavelength today…….
That quilt is gorgeous, i can’t wait to see it when it’s all finished.
how inspiring…one day in and such wonderful progress. here’s to a wonderful February!
Who can’t smile and think of Spring when she spots daffodils?
Great quilt progress! You rock!
OH, how I yearn for daffodils!!! beautiful post! thanks!
That quilt top looks even tastier than the cocoa! I’ve always thought I was immovably partial to bleached muslin, but I think your single girl quilts may have broadened my horizons.
what a great way to start the month!
Mmm, that really makes me crave coco! It’s true, that’s all you need in life…
Oh, Sarah, you know how I envy the lemons.
You sound like you are not going to let February get the best of you! I actually like February, it’s March that does me in every year.
I LOVE your quilt top. Love it!
What fabric is that Erin??
the quilt fabric is swell by urban chicks – it's two years old and out of print, i think. the solid is kona cotton in raffia.
yep… february can be good with all those lovelies around!!!
I love how those three pictures tell a whole story of a day – one I think I would have enjoyed too! 😀
You go girl! Love that sneak peek of the quilt 🙂
love your pictures 🙂
oh! daffs! so lovely. and i’m jealous of the quilt. one of these days i’ll make one, i will!
lovely, lovely, lovely quilt. I can sympathise with Patyz as I too spent the holidays doing homework with my youngest son, and I had the flu to boot. Yep, for four whole weeks. Its summer here (aus) but february is still a funny month as its the end and beginning even more so than january, in my opinion. Its when the year settles into ‘normal’.
Looks like you are off to a great February. The quilt top looks great!
What a lovely quilt top! I’ve been reading your blog recently… your things are beautiful! I love old traditional quilt patterns that are updated with funky new fabrics like this. Very inspiring…
