I have a prediction….you are probably sick of Christmas gifts, but I think you are only going to get sicker. Really, I have some stuff to share. So here I go – the beginning of the handmade gifts. I made much less this year than I did last year. For many reasons, I think this was better (time, energy, stress, appreciation of handmade, etc). My six nephews received the highest quantity of handmade goods. Here is part one – the t-shirts. I am especially proud that all but one of these designs were drawn freehand by me. Can you guess which one wasn’t?
a turtle for Evan
a penguin for Finn
a whale for Miles
an elephant for Ian
a puppy for Kenan
and a giraffe for Declan.
Looking back on these, it is really evident to me which one isn’t mine. Maybe that is because I made them – who knows?
Back tomorrow with handmade, part two.
they are all lovely!!! well done!
Can’t guess which one isn’t yours- Love them all! That giraffe is sooo cute!
Happy New Year’s blessings,

They are all wonderful!
such a great group of shirts – i don’t think it’s obvious which one isn’t ‘yours’. the puppy?
I think the puppy is anna maria’s maybe. I love the penguin…that is seriously so cute as are the others! Happy New Year!

Hmm, I really can’t tell, but I would guess the puppy, only because it is a different “type” of animal than the others – it’s more of a pet and less of a zoo animal 😉
I like all of them, but I am partial to the giraffe, I think.
They’re adorable! I really can’t guess either. I for one, am not sick of seeing people’s handmade gifts, so bring ’em on.
love the elephant and the giraffe.
happy new year Erin – I wish you the best !
They are all cute! I’m not absolutely sure which one you didn’t draw by hand, but I am going to say the dog?? Can’t wait for part 2.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I cannot tell which one isn’t yours…they are all adorable! I am with Sarah above, we’d never get sick of seeing what you make! More please.
These are all really cute, but I would guess maybe the turtle isn’t yours. It’s a little more of a different style than the rest, I think. And by the way, I am definitely not sick of Christmas gifts yet. I’m getting ready to sit down and put together some ideas for next year so that I have some to get them done in advance (I hope!). Oh — and loving the Katie Jump Rope fabric. I received some fat quarters of this for Christmas myself. 🙂
I love them all, especially the turtle! You can never share to much of your handmade goodies! 🙂
I actually think it’s impossible to tell, but maybe the dog?
Happy New Year!
I don’t know which isn’t yours,what I do know is that they are all adorable,especially the elephant:0)
looking forward to part 2,
keep warm,
what at aunt you are! these are great, erin. adorable.
all adorable. i have no idea which one isn’t your design….
love ’em all!
Happy New Year! All the shirts came out great… What a lucky group of nephews!
i’m jealous of your elephant – i have an elephant lover here and WISH i could draw one like yours. they are all great. but i think the puppy isn’t yours. the legs are drawn differently.
All of them are so cute! What fun projects!
I will never tire of seeing your handmade gifts! How could you even think such a thing?
love these! wishing you all the best in ’08!
Really, you thought we were tired of the handmade gifts? I’m not sure that’s possible.
love these. May have to borrow a few of the ideas for onsies..
very cute!
happy 08!
I’m with Jennifer – surely we could never tire. These are wonderful.
I love these! I have not been sewing for long so I am really curious…how did you do this? I have tried something similar and not had the best results.
I’m not tired of Christmas gifts yet. In fact, I’m getting ready to start on this year’s gifts! (I live overseas from my family, so I only spend packages a few times a year.) I love all of the shirts, but my favorite is the penguin.
Oh! They are all so adorable. You are going to send me straight away to the sewing machine, I see! Here I thought I was going to get some cleaning done… but no, crafting it is 🙂 Can’t tell which isn’t your own design.
I think the penguin and the elephant are my faves, though.
they are all great……and i do think the elephant is yours……i love it so!
All great appliques! I gave away quite a few appliques myself this year.
They are all so cute! I’m going to have to guess it was either the puppy or the giraffe that wasn’t yours originally. Not that it matters in this cuteness parade!
It’s not like I know you or your work very well but I would guess puppy. 🙂
They are all so cute, I can’t wait to see more tomorrow.
they all look equally great!
the elephant?
oh, my, erin…your handmade goodness is amazing. I love all these little shirts. I can’t wait to see the rest of your handmade stuff!
(i’m guessing the turtle isn’t yours.)
I’m guessing it’s the puppy, but they’re all pretty cute!
totally fabulous my dear!
they are all wonderful. i am sure you made many little people happy.
Puppy! but love them all.
We never tire of seeing lovely handmade gifts! These are wonderful – it’s always hard to know what to do for boys and these hit the spot perfectly. Not sure which isn’t yours but they are all lovely friendly, happy images!
Love them. I can’t tell which one. Can’t wait to see more.
My son would go nuts for the giraffe, but they are all fantastic. I would love to learn how to make these. I am not a big sewer – are they for experts only?
Heather

incredible work.
wow.
these are fabulous!
Darling!
I’m really enjoying seeing all your handmade gifts. Where do you get the shirts you put the appliqué on? They are super cute. Can’t wait to see what your family made for each other.
These tees look great! Very creative and well done!
the giraffe is my favourite!
