My head is swimming with ideas. I am hoping to make some of them a reality this weekend. I started working on a little something for Jane.
It’s not turning out exactly how I envisioned. I made a math mistake – ugh! I think it will be OK. At least I now know what not to do the next time around.
The girls don’t have school today so I would like to do something fun. The high temp today is a whopping 48 – good grief! Outdoor activities are out of the question. I am going to put my thinking cap on and come up with some sort of a plan. See you all later!
Oh, is it a skirt? The wonderful thing about sewing for kids is that they have such a forgiving spirit as far as flaws go. I made a pair of pajama pants for my boys once and they were awful. Very tapered toward the bottoms and not wide and comfy like I had envisioned. But they didnt care a bit and wore the heck out of them anyway. Happy Friday Erin!
Cute fabric! I’m sure it’ll turn out just fine. You are way too talented to mess up!
You would perish in MN, Erin. If we didn’t do things outside when it was a balmy 48, there’d be a lot of days that we’d be stuck inside. Send some of that warmth our way, would ya? 😉
oooo…what are you making for that sweet girl?
I’m thinking that cute fabric is going to become a skirt or a bag. Can’t wait to see what it is.
Ah yes, the perilous math mistakes… I’m very familiar. But you’re right, whenever you make them you realize what NOT to do for next time. Sooner or later you’ll run out of NOTs and come up with some RIGHTs. Right?
I love this photo, Erin. You’ve been capturing such great shots recently! I know how tough it can be having kids stuck in the house when there’s bad weather, but I’m sure you came up with something fun to do. We’re in the low thirties with snow and sleet in New York. Yuck!
Whatever it is, it looks cute! Hope you had fun with the girls.
I never thought sewing would require so much math! Oy, it is the one part of sewing I just hate. Good luck on the project–looks cute so far anyway even if the numbers aren’t working out just right. 😉
I just had to comment on the 48degrees- I am in agreement with Anina about MN. 40 degrees and the kids are on the playground without coats and wearing flip-flop:: No kidding.
