Happy New Year!
We are back from the mountains, trying to settle into some sort of a routine. School started back this morning. The girls had a really hard time getting out of bed. It wasn't so easy for me, either. And I have coffee.
Over the past few days, I've read lots of blogs with year-end thoughts and resolutions for the new year. I, too, have been thinking about how to re-cap the last year and wondering just what I want out of 2010. That is as far as I have gotten. I'm still thinking. I am sure that some coherent thoughts will emerge out of the percolating that is going on – I am beginning to sense a few themes. As it becomes more concrete, I will share some bits and pieces here. I do know that I want to be more present in this space. I am really going to try posting with some kind of regularity. I also know that I need to keep up with my household chores. That means lots of closets will be cleaned and lots of stuff will find new homes.
So, accordingly, I'll be back tomorrow. Right after another cup of coffee and the laundry is finished.
happy new year, erin!
I’m enjoying my paperwhites as well. I’m also enjoying the calm that January brings after all the December busyness. Cheers.
Lots of us longer-time bloggers seem to be making a re-commitment to our spaces. It’s funny, I always thought my blog would have a fixed lifespan, but now I am not so sure. It brings too much pleasure. As does yours – I can smell those paperwhites from here.
Restarting our week went oddly smooth, I’m wondering if tomorrow will be worse? I so glad I have coffee too!
Looking forward to your look back…
Laundry! That’s what I’m suppose to be doing. I almost forgot!
Looking forward to seeing you more often. Love the flowers, they’re beautiful.
I’m adding paperwhites to my list for this year. Those are paperwhites, no?
good to see your back – happy new year!
My New Year’s thoughts, like everything else, are a work in progress! š
Happy New year to you! Hope 2o10 brings you many blessings. š
You & a a few others have inspired me to try FlyLady again. My friend Kerry and I started a Flickr group to get us started. Join us if you’d like! Happy cleaning!

I too have the same intention of keeping in touch more on my blog. I need to declutter some spaces around my home………………..
Perhaps I should post this on my blog and just face up to my clutter!
Happy New Year! I look forward to seeing what you create this year!
And aren’t we so lucky that we have coffee–my kids are going to crash and burn tonight! The first day back is always hard.
So glad you got home safely. School was hard this morning wasn’t it?
Okay….so why can’t laundry just be a figment of our imagination that we can ignore and it will go away?
here’s to 2010…cling cling!
yes I think that 2010 will be a good year..I enjoy your blog..so will look forward to your new adventure.
I love the promise of a new year and the fact that I am not alone in my goals. This is my year to nest, to feather my nest, organize my nest and stick close to my nest.
Happy Twenty Ten, Erin!
Welcome back and Happy New Year, Erin! Like you I’m struggling a bit to pull togehter some goals for myself for 2010. Last year they just spilled out onto a piece of paper and before I knew it they numbered 32. Perhaps I need just the opposite this year and should let each opportunity or project come to me naturally and then embrace it. No strings attached, just what brings me joy in that moment.
Happy New Year. I think I’m still figuring out what I want out of a new year too. Good stuff, mainly. xo
I am still in the marinating phase too. I really want to decide what I want out of 2010, but it’s not coming easily right now. need more time.
sounds like a great plan erin! you will feel so happy and like everything is under control once those closets are cleaned out!
