I’m in a sewing groove. And let me tell you, it’s about time!
Jane had a birthday party to go to yesterday. I made this sweet t-shirt using the dog stencil from Lena Corwin’s book. You can barely see it here, but the pup has a crystal eye. The 8 year olds like their bling. Can you blame them? I enjoy a little sparkle too.
Back to the sewing machine. I’m on a roll.
I have a bunch of tee shirts to freezer paper stencil for boy birthday gifts. This reminds me to GET ON IT!
Super Cute!
That is so cute!
very cute tee. i love being on a roll – right now i’m all about the knitting. finished two pairs of socks last week and started a new pair saturday – going to knit the heel flap this morning as soon as the dishes are done š can’t wait to see what else you whip up!
This is so adorable. I love the contrasting colors especially.
Cute! I have a great idea for a changing pad. One of my co-workers is having a baby and I had an epiphany! I am also working on a crib size Grandmother’s Flower Garden for her. Busy, busy, busy!!!
I love it when I’m full of sewing excitement…that was sooo not last night for me. I wanted to be inspired so bad but it just wasn’t working. Tonight perhaps…I cannot wait to see what else you are making!
Oh how I wish I had a groove!
Don’t do anything to jinx yours!
the dog is adorable!!
glad you are enjoying your groove. š
I loved a little bling on my T-shirts when I was a kid. Such fun.
love this idea.
especially the bling
The bling was the first thing I noticed on flickr.
You are right about that – there can never be too much bling! Very sweet t-shirt.
lucky birthday girl! enjoy being in the groove. i always love it when i hit my stride…
groove on, sister!
There must be something in the air!!
Cute weenie dog š
Super cute! I need to figure out how to do this kinda stuff, I’ve got 4 girls and they would love it. Thanks for sharing!
Looks really lovely!
My little girls would adore this!
Annax š
So cute!
very cute! I love the bling š
Hi, glad you found your groove. You realise that now all children will expect you to make gifts for their friends and party invitations will appear from no where. I seem to always be making cushions with names on it, the night before the party and for some strange reason they always seem to be for children with unusual names….methinks there might be playground planning happening there!!! Have a wonderful sewing day, kiss noises Linda Lilly Cottage.
ahhh. i am sure that is one happy girl!
Sew Cute! Can you tell me if you back your t-shirt with anything, or do you just zigzag that pup right on there? Thanks for sharing your talents.
so cute! i LOVE color combination you used. don’t we all like a little bling?
Perfect! Love that sweet yellow dog and I think if there were crystals in our house, certain almost-eight year olds would make a serious attempt to leave no surface unblinged.
Good for you! I love when I’m in a groove! Cut doggie.
Really cute! Love puppies with bling š
Love it! I’d wear it!
Super cute!
This is Art!!!
Congratulations.
love the pup! and i know what you mean about the bling. goodness knows how bling-y my girls would be if i let them!! š
The “blinged” doggie is just fabulous!
If you have time, could you PLEASE tell me, do you use any special foot or anything for stitching around your applique? I can’t figure out how to do it without making a total mess of it, maybe you just need to go super-super-slowly? Or do you drop the feed dogs entirely and just push it through manually so it doesn’t get all caught and wonky around the little curves and bits?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
So cute!!
